Scoring Criteria

While the primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity through positive recognition, finalists from local PTAs (e.g., FHMS PTSA) may advance to Council (i.e., Lake Washington PTSA Council), then Council-level finalists will advance to Washington State PTA judging. State finalists who receive an “Outstanding Interpretation” award will advance to the National PTA round. 

• 10 entries per PTA/PTSA (not per category)

• PLUS up to 6 Special Artist division entries per PTA/PTSA

Si bien el enfoque principal de Reflexiones es una celebración de la creatividad a través del reconocimiento positivo, los finalistas de las PTA locales pueden avanzar al Consejo, luego los finalistas a nivel del Consejo avanzarán a la evaluación de la PTA del Estado de Washington. Los finalistas estatales que reciban un premio de “Interpretación Sobresaliente” avanzarán a la ronda de la PTA Nacional.

• MÁS hasta 6 entradas de la división de Artistas Especiales por PTA/PTSA

• How closely the piece relates to the theme, Show Your Voice, based on the artwork itself and the artist statement. 

• If two submissions receive the same overall score, this criteria will serve as the tie breaker.

• Si dos presentaciones reciben la misma puntuación general, este criterio servirá como desempate.

• How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.
  
  

• Qué creativa y original es la pieza en su concepción del tema y su presentación.

• The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.
  
  

• El nivel de habilidad demostrado en los principios/técnicas básicos del área de las artes.
